Susan Sontag article was a very interesting read on photography and her opnions on how art
and photography have been incorporated into everyday life. Now in a time where cameras are so
easily accesible and are incorporated in our cellphones, people can take pictures anywhere, at anytime
and they can be shared, photoshopped and edited to bring more creativity into there art photographs.
Sontag oftens talks about how capturing art and photographs can be an influential part of life and it can
help people out with their lives, explore new areas of their life through pictures and capture special
moments. The aestheics of photograpy and beauty are something that people love to capture and share online,
on advertisments and even in collages. Photography now is apart of our daily social lives, sharing and creating
videos are channels to express creativity.
Sontag also expressed the gift that photography gives us is to bring the world to the eyes of those who view every
individual photograph like during The Korean War. The photographs taken and shown to the rest of the world showed the
devastations and realities of the war. It brought connected the world through a camera lens and helped people connect.
Now people all over the world can connect and learn about each other all over the world through photographs and videos.
People can explore and learn about the world around them without ever visiting a certain country and experience their culture
by swiping and liking posts.
